Licence agreement

What you may and may not do with a KONTRAST plugin once you own it. Plain terms: three machines, commercial use included, the audio you make is yours.

The agreement

This licence is between you and KONTRAST AUDIO, trading as [registered name]. Installing or using the software means you accept it. If you do not, do not install it; if you have already paid, ask for a refund.

What you get

A personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual licence to use the software. Perpetual means the version you bought keeps working: there is no subscription and no expiry date.

  • Install on up to three machines at the same time, all of them yours.
  • Use it on anything you make — commercial releases, client work, film, games, live performance — with no extra fee and no share of your revenue.
  • Make copies for backup.

The audio you make is yours

We claim nothing over what you produce with the software. No royalties, no credit obligation, no registration.

What you may not do

  • Share, sell, rent, lend or publish your serial, or use one serial across more people than yourself.
  • Redistribute the installer, or host it anywhere for others to download.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software, except to the extent the law expressly permits regardless of this agreement.
  • Remove or alter the notices, names and marks in the software.
  • Work around the activation, or use the demo beyond its stated limits.

Activation

The software activates online against your serial and allows three machines at once. Deactivate a slot from inside the plugin to free it for a new machine; a reinstall does not cost a slot as long as you deactivate first. If a machine is lost or dies, write to support@kontrastaudio.com and we reset the slot.

Updates

Updates within version 1.x are free for anyone who owns a 1.x licence, as stated on the product page. A future major version may be a paid upgrade. We are not obliged to keep supporting host versions or operating systems their own makers have retired.

Transfer

Ownership

The software, its code, interface, presets, name and artwork stay ours. You are buying the right to use it, and nothing in this agreement transfers intellectual property to you.

Warranty and liability

We give you the statutory guarantee that applies where you live, and we stand behind the description on the product page. Beyond that the software is provided as it is: we cannot promise it is free of every defect or fits a purpose we have not described.

Except where the law forbids limiting it, our total liability is capped at what you paid, and we are not liable for lost projects, lost recordings, lost time or lost profit. Render and back up your work.

If this agreement ends

The licence ends if you break its terms in a way you do not fix after we ask. If that happens, uninstall the software. Ending the licence does not entitle you to a refund beyond the refund policy.

Law
